The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors clean. Its price is surprisingly low and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our floor tests that test for bare floors, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they have a few flaws that keep them from being our top choice. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle however. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for a wet one in just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also has self-emptying dustbins with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuum robot hoover for carpets, though it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop utilizes sensors that help it avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time and provide more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.

It even cleans the floor after vacuuming this feature, which we've not seen on other robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With an elegant circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxes, this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive designs in our reviews. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It features advanced features such as enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's also the only robot vacuum/mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to the combination of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and it boasts industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an easy mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work or in the evening when you are trying to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. If you're willing to live with a bit more noise and a little more cost this is a efficient two-in-one device that should please almost everyone.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot vacuum and mop. It has a number of advanced features that help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine like Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the vacuum's bin, refills the water tank, as well as washes and dries the mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its premium competitors. It does a stellar job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion that does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's self-sufficient too, with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to guide you through the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app also grants access to a variety of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It can also reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for hair of pets. You can also create a spot-clean that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes.
