Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are ideal for walking around the neighborhood or running. Their compact design makes them easy to maneuver, even in tight spaces.

Sturdy frame

New figures show that the three-wheeled buggies, that symbol of the noughties that were more expensive than common sense, are in a steep decline. They have been replaced by four-wheelers that can be more versatile in terrain, while also looking swanky and being easy to push.

The general rule is that the bigger the wheels, the easier it will be for your buggy to cope with bumpy and rough pavements. Having larger wheels both front and back makes it easier to manoeuvre and more stable when walking downhill or over difficult terrain.

MFM reviewer Kath tried the buggy with a newborn as well as a 3 wheeler buggy year old and found that it coped well with cobbles, grass rough pavements, dirt tracks and kerbs. She said that it felt sturdy to push, and very solid on difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable, so require occasionally pumping) come with suspension built-in which was extremely comfortable for my children.

Another thing to consider is the size of the seat and shape. You'll want it to be large enough for your child's comfort and you will also require it to recline for them to lie flat. Some three-wheel buggies have the option of lying flat that allows your child to lie flat and face you, while others only permit a parent-facing option.

A great option for those who want to tackle off-road and muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the best lightweight 3 wheel stroller wheel buggy can sometimes make it difficult to fit into tight spaces. This is something you need to be aware of when you live in a city. If this is a problem then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better option for you.
