If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel single stroller is a great option for parents looking for a secondary stroller that is affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or allow them to rotate which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. When we walked through the stony trail, we allowed them to swivel and it did this quite well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is a household name for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to fold and fits easily into the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers we test, however the wheels are made of rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other pram hoods that are turned back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does have a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or plenty of food. It can also be used with the Baby Jogger car seat for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2
