Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the best ways to upgrade your gear without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your items.

Upgrades to equipment provide an increase to the item's base stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component's level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the parts that can make your weapons and armor better. You can find them by destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors or finding them in the form of item-spheres. Upgrade components are not destroyed when they are removed from an item.
