WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest possible level for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests have one purpose and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with top-quality gear.
