With a sleek, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the compact models, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our evaluations. iRobot's latest flagship model also is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score 100% in our testing, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station, and boasts an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.
