Types of UPVC Door Handles

Lever/Lever

A lever is a rod that pivots around an object. When you apply force to the end, the fulcrum will move in the direction of the force is applied. These come in many variations & finishes and are suitable for a variety of materials like upvc door locks and handles, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold as a pair for the outer and inner door, with screws and spindles included. They are also available in both handed and unhandled versions for different users.

These locks can be used to replace existing doors made of upvc. They are usually operated by lifting up the levers to throw all of the multipoint locks before turning the key to close / unlock. They provide a bit more security than the standard lever handles for doors because locking can only be performed through the inside with a key.

This is achieved by using a 'pad-shaped' external door handles handle that locks into the gap between the handle and lock case.

This handle is designed to work with uPVC multipoint locks which use a split spindle mechanism. This type of operation requires that the internal lever handle and the external pad handle both be fitted to the same lock case. It is a simple modification to the existing upvc door handle replacement handles but it may also require a change to the lock case or a new set of handles to accommodate this additional function.
