World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

item level upgrade upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item upgrader mod to 700 and also add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, don't change much post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. In some cases this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally a good thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are very lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to increase their performance. This will increase the defense base of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain upon upgrading and their relative values. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike 3 times less often because it's an absolute statistic.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item upgrader kit menu using the circling arrows. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor could make a huge differences in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you can get from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required for each will vary. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a handful of friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on upgrading it to gain physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. Alternatively the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or in an chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item upgrader kit's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potions, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other items of gear they won't replace in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade, players should be aware of their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
