1. Roomba iRobot s9+

The s9+ robotic irobot roomba vacuum is the most effective we've ever tested for cleaning carpets and hard floors. It has the most powerful suction power of any robot vacuum cleaner available. It also does an excellent job in getting rid of pet hair. It can also be programmed to make multiple passes or alter the level of suction depending on the size of the room, something we haven't seen on other models. Its app lets you customize the way it functions and decide when it begins working so you can be within the room while it's moving.

The smart mapping feature generates an accurate map of your home to aid the s9+ in navigation and design efficient routes. It can also self-empty so you don't have to be there to help. It is also able to recharge itself mid-clean. The s9+ could navigate around obstacles like tables and power cables with any difficulty. It never lost charge and didn't get stuck. It doesn't have the hazard-avoidance features of recent models, and could get caught in tassels of rug and other obstructions it is unable to see.

Unlike most circular robots, the s9+ has a flat front and has a squared front that helps it get to corners faster than round models. It's also quieter than the previous irobot roomba vacuum cleaner model we tested and is more compact than the Neato Botvac D7. Its price tag isn't cheap, but it's an excellent value for the price given the quality of its performance and the fact that you won't need to worry about emptying the trash afterward. Plus, it's often on sale during Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Amazon Prime Day.

The J7+ is among the most intelligent robot cleaners on the market. It's equipped with iRobot Genius technology that gives it the ability to detect obstacles and maneuver around them, meaning that you don't need to worry about it smacking into furniture or walls. It also slows down when it is close to an object, so it can gently clean edges. This is particularly useful for pet owners with small animals that leave messes behind.

The j7+ also has the ability to mop and vacuum due to mopsitter. If it detects that you're on a floor that needs to be cleaned it will switch to the normal cleaning mode and deploys an arm that is a tiny robot with a pad attached. It mops the floor with an eerily-smooth motion that left my floors looking and feeling like they'd been properly cleaned.

The J7+ recharges itself once it is finished cleaning. It then returns to where it started and continues cleaning. It runs for about 85 minutes in my home, plus or minus a few minutes. It's not as impressive as the s9+, but still impressive for a device which can vacuum and mop.

Like other iRobot cleaners, the j7+ detects obstacles in its path and eliminates them. It also has what iRobot refers to as Cliff Detect Technology, which prevents it from falling down stairs. It's an excellent security feature for families with children.

The j7+ comes with an extremely small onboard bin, so it will need to go back to the dock and empty it often if you live in an extensive home. The J7+ can be stored easily. The Clean Base acts as a charging dock as well as an external dustbin, and an internal bin in which the j7+ can store dirt.

3. Shark iQ

This sleek robot vacuum cleaner and sonic mops carpets as well as hard floors at the same time. Matrix Clean Navigation is also included, which utilizes grids to cover the entire home. The vacuum automatically emptys itself after every run. You can also check the battery's status and the actual life of the vacuum by looking at two lights on top. To empty the dirt receptacle simply push a button that unlocks the bin. It holds up to a week's worth trash, and the process is easy enough to complete from anywhere in the home.

The model is stunning on bare floors but struggles on flooring with low pile. It also struggles to collect large debris as the dirt compartment gets filled. But it's well constructed and has a lengthy battery life, which you can extend by using the energy-efficient Eco mode.

The Shark IQ is compatible both with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which means you can control it with your voice. Its app allows you to identify your robot (mine is Sharky Shark), remotely activate and schedule its runs, and also view your cleaning history and any errors that are notified. You can even make a map of your house and manually create no-go zones.

The Shark iQ is more expensive than the iRobot Roomba j7+, but it has more features for mapping and apps and superior cleaning performance on all surface types. It also charges faster and is stuck on rug tassels fewer often, which lowers the cost of recurring repairs. Unfortunately, this model can't be kept away from areas that have furniture or pet bowls, and you'll need to use physical boundary strips to keep it out of certain objects.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

It can recognize your habits for cleaning and make a custom schedule. It also integrates with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants so you can start a clean by speaking. It uses a full suite of sensors to help you navigate the obstacles in your home. A smart bumper cushioned the impact when it crashes into furniture legs or walls. Four "cliff" sensors on the sides and front inform it that it is nearing an edge, such as the stairs or a balcony, and it's also able to reverse.

This model is a great value in the sub-$300 robot vacuum category. This model has a three-stage cleaning system that includes a dual multi-surface brush to remove dirt from carpeted or hard floors. An edge-sweeping tool takes the care of edges and corners. This robot vacuum has a number of convenience features including Dirt Detect which spends more time on areas that are heavily soiled. It can be programmed to clean at certain intervals of time and has a remote control app.

The iRobot Roomba 694 isn't as sophisticated as the i7 one, which is able to self-empty its own dust compartment but it lacks a mapping system, nor the ability to create virtual boundary markers. It is more durable and has lower monthly costs than eufy RoboVac G30. It also has a larger dust bin and charges faster.

5. Eufy 11s

The Eufy 11s robotic vacuum is a small but appealing machine that provides a decent value for money. It can remove pet hair easily and has a huge dirt compartment and can run for a long time on just one charge. It's hard to maintain and navigation is a challenge. It does not have voice control or a companion app, however, it does have a simple to use remote. It also doesn't send you a notice when the dust bin is full, so you'll have to check it often.

The eufy is more efficient than the Bobsweep Bob Pro in many ways, but it's not as good as the iRobot best rated roomba vacuum 694 in many others. The iRobot Roomba 694 is much better built, has fewer parts to keep in good condition, a HEPA filter that lasts longer on only one charge and provides better cleaning performance for floors with no floor, low-pile and high-pile. It also comes with a smarter navigation system that can maneuver over obstacles and incorporate more advanced automated features, including boundary strips.

Although the eufy remains an excellent choice I would recommend the iRobot Roomba 900 Series for the majority of users. The iRobot is better-built, easier to maintain, has a bigger dustbin, and has superior performance on all surface types. It's also more efficient in recharge and has a longer maximum battery life.

The eufy is superior to the ILIFE A4s but not as effective as the top-end models like the Roborock S7 maxV Ultra. The iRobot has a higher-quality build as well as a larger dustbin, and is able to pay for fewer monthly expenses. It also has a more sophisticated automation capability like boundary stripes and a navigation system that is more intelligent. The iRobot is also more efficient in collecting pet hair and is easier to maintain than eufy.
