World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items lets players increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item upgrade of the same type. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This could be a problem because it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens in order to do this. The item upgrades will be replaced by the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be repeated often, as it could waste many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every each time you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). When an item level upgrade is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For instance they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
