Three Wheeled Buggies

If you're seeking a buggy to run around in or a nifty stroller to tackle the neighborhood, three-wheeled buggies offer great mobility. Their compact design makes it easy to maneuver even in tight spots.

If you want a smooth ride with your pram, choose models with 360deg front wheels that swivel. However, they are prone to punctures, so be prepared with an repair kit.

New figures show that three-wheeled buggies that were the emblem of the noughties, which were more expensive than common sense, are in a steep decline. They have been replaced by four-wheelers which can handle a wider range of terrain, while also looking stylish and easy to push.

Its tyres (which are inflatable so need occasionally pumping) come with suspension built-in, which was very comfortable for my children.

The size and shape of the seat is another thing to think about. You will want it to be big enough for your child's comfort and you will also need it to recline to allow them to lie flat. Some three-wheel buggies have the option of lying flat that allows your child to lie flat and face you, whereas others only permit a parent-facing option.

This is also helpful if you bump into an unintentional tree root or kerb as the front wheel can be lifted up a bit to prevent you from hitting it.

Many models have compact folding options, which permit you to take off the front wheels and store them in a more compact manner.

Easy to maneuver

A three-wheeler can be easier to maneuver with a child. They are designed to ensure that the front wheels can turn on a dime, and are easy to move, making them ideal for difficult terrain like cobblestones, parks as well as bumpy roads and dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tested a 3 wheel stroller with bassinet wheeler with her toddler and newborn and said: "The Terrain was a delight to maneuver on the terrain and the swivel front wheel being particularly helpful. I was also amazed by how well it dealt with kerbs using the hand-operated break. I found it extremely steady when I was driving downhill or over uneven terrain."

The only drawback to this amazing maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel stroller with seat wheel buggy can sometimes make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something to be aware of when you live in a city. If this is a problem then a 4-wheel buggy may be better for you.
