The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart robot vacuums mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest with a sleek top 5 robot vacuum piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand which other robots can't. And all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best choice. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also come with many additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a problem where many cheaper Robot vac vacuums often fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place, emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however, it's costly.

Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a clean zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

However, if you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of alternatives on the market which include a variety of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet flooring, and mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, simply connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an electrical outlet and plenty of room cleaning robot for it to move however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often, and it has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
