On May 17, five years ago, I went on a two-week solo trip to four European countries. I've posted about it on this blog many times, but I'm reposting two canal views from Amsterdam, the first city I visited.
An artificial floating city that was born 400 years ago. The city is filled with many layers of canals in concentric circles.
Beautiful streetscape. The people I interacted with were free and tolerant, and the comfort was the best out of the four countries I visited.
Oh, and my time at the Van Gogh Museum was like a dream.
