World of Warcraft - item upgrader mod Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to increase the gear score of an Best item upgrader up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition some weapons come with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.

A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. In the case of items that only see use in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them could render them useless unless you get a lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. This will increase the base defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with their relative values. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike for Item upgrader kit 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item upgrader kit menu, using the arrows that circle. This will roll an item and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the greater health you will gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required for each will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand a full on raid with a handful of friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll need to work on upgrading it for physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be beneficial to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the participant, produce the player with a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a table or in the Alchemist's chest. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item upgrades's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu.
