World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to boost the gear score of an item upgrader mod to 700 and item upgrades add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus may be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally beneficial, it can have some negative effects as well. For items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

It is possible to upgrade armor items to boost their stats. This can increase the base defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain upon upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike 3 times less often because it's an absolute statistic.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with circling arrows in the item menu. This will roll an item and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you will receive from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large group of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you're able to survive a battle with your comrades.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade items the armor you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to let you escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, when consumed give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades is dependent on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and rarity.

To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for example are now available with a time of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The table for potion is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio in a cauldron that is full drains the liquid and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions, which are made using dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potions has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not important, like a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. One can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the older one, and come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Trinkets can be upgraded once they are not needed, allowing a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other equipment that they will not replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding the items to upgrade, players should take into account their class's preferred statistics. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

After they've become unusable, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying new ones.
