World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade item their equipment that they already own. This can be done through any item upgrader NPC.

Upgrades increase the main stat of an item and add additional features based on the type of item. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for build casters.

Armour

Armour is one of the main factors that keep Link protected from injury in most situations. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, you can enhance its defense capabilities in different ways.

Armour is designed to safeguard people or animals from harm or injury regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a range of hazards posed by the environment or activities. Historically, most armour was made of fabric or leather, but metal protections were also used particularly for military purposes like heavy cavalry or combat drones.

There are many ways to upgrade armour however, the majority require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain comes with its own level of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection, and requiring a higher cost in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.

First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been installed and removed, they cannot be reverted unless you own another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. It is important that you only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your gear and that you have the materials needed to complete the process.

You will find the upgrades you need in many places around Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. They'll usually be identified with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol, and can be found in large numbers as you move through the game. They could appear randomly, but there is a possibility that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest which will reward you with even more.

It is also important to note that even though the amount of protection provided by each upgrade is different, it is the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armour will grant you a high defense boost that protects you from all types of attacks except magic and makes it a formidable tool for any type of.

Weapons

You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades that make them truly unique. They can boost damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your specific build and even unlock new attachments such as unique enchantments, ammo types, and aesthetic options.

To upgrade a weapon you'll require an upgrade component available as well as the item itself. The weapon must be at least a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only be upgraded by one upgrade.

There are weapons upgrade components scattered throughout the globe and from enemies or purchased from merchants. The upgrade item components themselves are a mix of components that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or other effect when they are in use. The equipment has to be of a certain level before it can accept the upgrade. It is able to be upgraded in the same way as other items.

Upgrades are a combination of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They can be used to boost the effectiveness of weapons and increase their scaling with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.

There are two NPCs that can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.

Prioritize upgrading your best-in slot items first. Then upgrade those that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. If you're playing in a melee-based build, for example upgrade your weapon, then your shoulders and chest before your feet and hands. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some items may be better than others based on the style of play you prefer. Armour is no different, with some Reforges being better than others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one magic item at a time. If an upgrade project is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for that item will not begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to create or purchase, but can have other benefits.

A magical item is any item upgrading that has special properties or Item upgrade effects. These items are mostly weapons, but they could also be armors, shields, cloaks and potions. They could also be scrolls, rings or other items. Some of these items can be made sentient.

Many magic items can be enhanced in their abilities. This makes them more useful for a player, or it can help them overcome any difficult situation. A weapon infused with an ingredient that is unique could be able to provide additional damage against a specific enemy type. This is especially useful for characters that have reached a point at which they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons over and over again.

A ring that is infused with magic may provide immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or slash (excluding attacks that are silvered) until the character is given a second rest. This is particularly useful for combatants who are melee or anyone looking to avoid buying an armor.

Some enchanted items have special powers that let the character cast spells in addition to those on their class's spell list. This is a great benefit for characters that have difficulty keeping their spell slots full due to multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use them, and the spell is determined by rolling an index based on the number of Intelligence points spent.

Other objects that are enchanted can allow the player's appearance to be altered or create a new appearance. These items are particularly useful for characters that were forced to leave their home or are in a place that they might not be accepted. An enchanted item might give them an invisible effect, or make them invisible to all except a chosen person.

Utility Items

Utility items are products that do not fall under the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons, and provide various capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor, no one utility item is able to be in conflict with another. The majority of utility items have an effect that a player can activate when using them, however, some come with additional capabilities that activate when the user presses an action button or activates a skill.

The Flashlight is the most popular utilitarian item upgrade (cool training). It lights up the area around it. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while they move, and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can instantly produce several utility items, while others are available only through Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

In addition to the items available in the normal inventory, players can also obtain additional powerful utility items by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded to make them more effective.

Most utility items increase an individual combat ability or give the player some kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. Sharpening stones, made by the Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, made by an Huntsman will increase concentration and Item upgrade healing power. Other utility items can be used by players to boost Damage or Condition Damage.

All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a utility item at the beginning of the campaign. Eventually, an additional slot is made available by acquiring certain types of armor or by completing engineering, research or other projects in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping the Grenade Launcher. This enables the player to utilize the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
