How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO

Upgrade is one of the most prized items in Pokemon GO. It allows trainers the chance to transform Porygon2 into Porygon, and to progress in their Pokedex.

Although this item is rare, players can locate it by spinning an image disc at a Pokestop, or as a reward for special occasions. But what exactly does this item actually do?

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons or gathering tools in order to confer an added benefit.
