Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

A light double pushchair makes it simple to move around, especially if you have children of various ages. They are easy to fold, steer and carry up and down steps.

Tandem

While side-byside models are more for children of the same ages, tandem lightweight double strollers come with their own charms. One of the most impressive things about it is its single-handed fold. While it does require practice, Kirstie in our Lab declared it to be "genius". It's not foldable with the carrycot attached, however the mechanism for attaching and removing it is simple and quick.

Tandem strollers are light and lightweight twin stroller. They typically have tighter turning capabilities than side-byside models. However, they may be difficult to drive on uneven surfaces and curbs. They are also a little slower to speed up and can be heavier to move, which can result in stress on your back.

Another alternative is a convertible double buggy which is initially one-person, but you add adapters to turn it into a double. It could have the option of a second seat, a carrycot or both in front.
