The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft

Upgrades are a different kind of item that can provide an increase in your stats. They can be used to upgrade trinkets, armor and weapons.

Item upgrades use a system known as "upgrade pity" to calculate probabilities. This system is designed to lower extremes of luck and provide a good safety net while upgrading.

Armor

The item upgrader lets players upgrade the level of their equipment for their armor, trinkets and weapons. The upgrade is applied to the gear when you visit an upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. Upgrading an item will also increase the stats on the item.

This NPC is located in every major city and is located in the city's corner square, near a teleporter point. The NPC is able to upgrade any armor, weapon or trinket, with the exception of those which require a quest or crafting.

Note: The item you use to upgrade your gear is destroyed forever. It is not possible to apply multiple upgrades to a piece. If you attempt to do this the previous upgrade will be replaced.

The process of upgrading your gear is a great method to maximize the power of your gear and increase your damage, survivability and overall power. If you own Benthic gear that you acquired through the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at level 385 and can be upgraded with [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades for PvE gear are available across all accounts, however upgrades for PvP gear requires a specific currency, such as [Valorstones or [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade other pieces of gear in an armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade for that gear.

Weapons

Weapons are an essential component of any character that is successful. They can be used to stop a murderous monster, kill an intruder or win a target-shooting competition. They can also hang on the wall. Whatever way you decide to utilize a specific weapon, you should keep in mind that it is able to be upgraded and will evolve depending on your style of play.

Upgrades to weapons can be made by visiting a Blacksmith that has a Weapon Workbench. Located in the right wing of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a good choice to upgrade your primary weapon. Iji is a Smithing Master located in the northwestern region, "Road to the Manor", of Liurna. Smithing Master Iji improves both weapons and armor.

As a rule upgrading an item will raise its weapon's level by 5. However it is the case for Azerite weaponry (see below) and other weaponry that is special, the item's ilvl increases by 15. The player can only have one upgrade active at a time. If you attempt to upgrade a weapon while another upgrade is applied the upgrade will fail and your weapon will return to its original ilvl.

In addition to boosting the item level of a weapon upgrades also give it additional stats that can be used to increase the power of the weapon. Some of these upgrades are passive, while others could provide more damage, speedier attack and increased range, or a greater strike chance.

Ashes of War weapons are given rewards when certain raid bosses are defeated. Whetblades are rare items which unlock new Affinities for weapons.

After a weapon has been fully upgraded, the player can continue to upgrade it as long as he/she has the correct upgrade item materials and currency. It is important to remember that weapons are only upgraded to a maximum of 25. Players should upgrade their weapons only after they've obtained the maximum number of upgrades that are possible from regular and item upgrades Whetblade item.

Trinkets

The Trinkets provide a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded as other equipment by interacting with an Item Upgrader NPC.
