WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an Best item upgrade by 3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Another important change is that crests have one usage, so it's important to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrader equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, that will be able to avail the account-wide discount if all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
