World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to raise the item level of armor and weapons that can be equipped. This increases the stats and can also add buffs or rerolls an affix.

It is important to remember that even though you can upgrade magic and common equipment, it's usually not worth it. Rare and unique gear will quickly outclass the standard gear and upgraded magic.

Cost

The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost to upgrade an item depends on the item's current level and the type of upgrade. For example upgrading a weapon will typically be cheaper than upgrading armor because weapons have lower requirements for level. The amount of Gold required for upgrading increases when the item is upgraded to an upper level.

Upgraded items will also have enhanced stats that can boost its performance in different ways. This includes increasing its attack power, critical strike chance, or damage per second. An upgraded item may also add additional benefits to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to boost the overall strength of a unit or individual unit, and can have a significant impact on the gameplay.

The items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. In general these NPCs are found in major cities or questing areas. You can also find upgraders of items by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses. You can also talk to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players increase the level of weapons, armor and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging process used in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players have to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.

Upgrades to items can be expensive, particularly when it is related to armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade path you select, each upgrade can cost Crests or Valorstones. The total cost can be very prohibitive for players who don't have the resources or are unwilling to grind them.

Fortunately the game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an additional tool available in the items menu. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item level upgrade with the level 1 version which offers different bonus effects. This is useful to improve the roll of items that have already been upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.

Requirements

Upgrading is the procedure of increasing the level of the items that are equippable such as trinkets, weapons and armor. This can boost their stats which makes them more powerful in battle. Players can upgrade gear by spending the appropriate currency at a NPC who sells upgrades for items. Players must be aware of the fact that some upgrades require specific requirements.

The earliest upgrades only increase the stats of the base item by one level, but later upgrades provide more significant increases. For example, upgrading a weapon from level three to level six will boost the weapon's damage by plus two levels. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on its level. This bonus consists of a guaranteed additional substat and a random stat that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.

A player can Reroll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new one. The new item will have a different set of extra bonuses as well as a lower level of base item. The rerolled item also has different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the rerolled item will not retain its original level or even a fraction of its resource.

Rerolling some upgraded items is only possible if the item was upgraded was an Epic, Rare, or Unique. Extraordinary items are also suitable for rerolling, however their original stats will be replaced by a flat bonus. Rerolling a Rare or Epic item will produce the normal version, and doing the same with the Epic version will result in an elite version.

An upgraded item upgrades may also have extra modifiers, which could further boost its stats and improve its performance. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade cost. You can purchase them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can be earned through doing specific missions within the game.

To upgrade a piece of equipment, you must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. You will require Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 is dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.

Time

Upgrades to items are a method to increase your ship's stats and gear without needing to upgrade them. While it's not cheap, it can be an effective way to boost your stats without having to spend a lot of time in battle. However, it's important to understand the cost and benefits of upgrading your items before investing your money or time.

Each upgrade increases the stats of the item by in a specific amount, and gives a chance to get a bonus substat. The random substat may be anything from a minor boost to a much larger boost. It is recommended to concentrate on the best-in-slot items first, since they will provide a greater return on your investment.

You can view the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and select an item such as a ship, weapon or accessory. The upgrade window will display the expected completion date and progress. In certain cases you may be able to speed the process by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a high-level salvage kit that allows you to recover all or a portion of upgrade components. However, this doesn't include legendary equipment or upgrades, item upgrade which can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor or recovering them through the appropriate Karma Merchant.

Rewards

The upgrading of items provides players with money and a variety of items. Each upgrade also has a chance of granting an unspecified stat bonus. The value of the bonus differs for each upgrade, and it's generally higher for items that are rarer. The Great Vault can be searched by players to determine if an item is upgradeable. The search can also help determine whether the item is a certain tier and if the player could benefit from a specific upgrade.

In the process of upgrading the item will gradually grow closer to its next level, but it's not always able to reach a fully upgraded bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant, but there is the chance to get an item that is fully upgraded in just one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item attains, the higher its stat value will be, and the more items can be upgraded.

Upgrade components can be integrated into weapons, armor, item upgrade and trinkets to give an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is being used. Certain upgrade components come with cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are available through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. In addition, players can recover upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed in gathering tools are able to be swapped without any restrictions.

A player can turn an item into another upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button an arrow that indicates reroll. This alters the layout of the item window and allow players to choose up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced by an Item Upgrader kit of level 1. Rerolled items won't retain their level or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's tier as well as its quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels of nine, while common items can only be upgraded up to level six. The upgrades to items are added to the base stats of the item. This means that they won't grow more after a certain point.
