WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however, item level upgrade they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other items. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool with the help of button, which displays a preview of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades require a variety of means that are both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After the player has upgraded to a certain item upgrades level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true even if those items come from an entirely different set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available when certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another significant modification is that crests have one use and it's crucial to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance, it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
