WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an Item Level Upgrade by 3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with higher variance due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and item level upgrade can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with an button, which displays an item upgrader mod's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used.
