Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the most effective ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your gear.

Upgrades in equipment can add an increase to the item's base stats. This bonus scales based on the rarity and quality of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components can make your weapons and armour better. They can be obtained by destroying enemies, finding them in spheres of items or purchasing them from karma sellers. You can also get them from equipment that has the components, or by utilizing high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. In contrast to other items upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.

Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the quality of an upgradeable item, or they can be used to boost the experience gained when upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. Sets
