World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example the perfect roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as the chance to crit, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will increase until it requires more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of their base. This is usually a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. In the case of items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may make them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their stats. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms this will increase its defense base while a belt and gloves will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it may reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain when upgraded in addition to their respective values. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item upgrader menu using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or connect to the status of your account.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor can make a a huge difference in your ability to endure. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the more health you will gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock each one you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade items, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, granting the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a handful of friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some upgrades of the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce the player with a temporary effect. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or in an chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the Best item upgrader's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potions you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. There are also simmering potions made using dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not important, like a Thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrade upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or Item upgrading fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. One can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded when the old ones are no longer useful and allows players to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players which makes them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear, and then other equipment that they won't replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade players should also be aware of their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Once they have become useless trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool.
