Category A1 Rules For Motorcyclists

Category A1 rules are for those who wish to drive small motorcycles. These vehicles have a maximum capacity of 35 kW. They are not derived from vehicles with more than double their power.

Open category drone operations are separated into three subcategories - A1 to A3. You can fly drones that have class C0 or Prawo Jazdy kat. a1 C1 as part of the A1 subcategory (fly over people) until January 2024.

A1

Category kategorię a1 is one of the three EASA drone categories. It is applicable to aircraft that have a maximum take-off mass (MTOM) of up to 25 kilograms. It requires a flight plan as well as a flight log along with a remote identification system and a geoawareness system. The drone must be in the view of the pilot at all times. A1 license holders are permitted to drive mopeds that have the capacity of cylinders not more than 1250 cc, and a power-to-weight ratio that is not greater than 0.01 kW/kg. A2

A2 allows drones that are transitional that are not yet CE certified, but have been modified to lower the risk of collisions with other people. These drones are only allowed to be flown in A2 until end 2022. After this, they will have to adhere to the A3 regulations.

Successful completion of this exam is rewarded with the 'certificate of competence required to fly in category A2'.

There are transitional arrangements that allow legacy drones, that are not certified, to operate in the categories A1 and/or A2 for a period of two years following the introduction of the new EU regulations. Legacy drones are not permitted to be intentionally flown above people and must be operated by an A2 CofC.

To operate drones in this category, you must pass the regular online flyer ID test, and then pass an additional test in the theory department. In addition, you must declare that you have acquired some knowledge of your drone and pass an official declaration of competency. These requirements are similar in nature to the driving licence model, whereby the driver who has first obtained their license for a vehicle in a lower category can then move up to a higher category.

A4

The DOH is currently working on detailed guidelines to be used in category A4. These guidelines will be consistent with other operations and will include details like the number of dressings that are changed per day. These guidelines will be presented to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infections, (IATF-EID) and the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group. The IATF-EID and DOH's National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization will be reviewing and approving the guidelines prior to being finalized.

In this category, drones sporting an identification label for class C0 and C1 are permitted to fly within a distance of 50 metres of individuals who aren't involved. This is a relatively low-risk category, but strict precautions must still be taken to prevent accidents. Drones classified as A1 or A2 are required to take an additional theoretical test in order to operate in this subcategory.

This examination aims to assess the knowledge of the additional dangers associated with flying drones close to people. The certificate of competence is issued after the successful completion of this test. The pilot must keep a minimum distance of 30 metres between the aircraft and any other persons not involved or 5 metres when flying in slow-flight mode.

If you're looking to obtain a motorcycle licence you must pass some training sessions to take the test and subsequently pass the practical test. It is contingent on your age, capabilities and the level of learning. A minimum of 12 90-minute classes must be completed.

The new category E effectively combines the classes Prawo Jazdy Kategorii A1 (retail), A2 (financial services and professional services), B1 (offices), A4 (restaurants/cafes) and B5 for hot food takeaway. This category also includes health and medical purposes, creches, nursery schools, and indoor facilities for recreation and sports. The new licensing system is expected to simplify and reduce costs. It will also allow landlords to use their buildings in ways that aren't currently allowed.
