World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to increase the level of equippable weapons and armor. This improves the stats and sometimes adds buffs or rerolls an attach.

It is important to keep in mind that upgrading common gear is not always worth it. Unique and rare equipment can quickly outperform the standard equipment and upgraded magic.

Cost

The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item depends on the current level of the item and the type of upgrade. These upgrades are able to increase the overall strength of a group or a single unit, and item upgrader could be a major influence on the gameplay.

The items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. Generally NPCs can be found in major cities or questing locations. You can also find upgraders of items by visiting dungeons that have high-level bosses and talking to NPCs in the garrisons of your faction.

The item upgrade system in World of Warcraft provides players with the possibility of upgrading the levels of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is largely identical to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the currency appropriate to the task players must visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Upgrades can be expensive especially for weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path, each step up in item level can cost several Valorstones and crests. The total costs can be very prohibitive for players who don't have the resources or are unable to grind them.

Fortunately the game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an exclusive tool within the menu of items. Requirements

Upgrading is the procedure of increasing the level of the items that are equippable such as trinkets, weapons and armor. This can increase their stats and make them more effective in combat. Each upgrade increases the stats of the item's base by to a certain extent and also offers the chance of obtaining an additional substat.
