Category A1 Rules For Motorcyclists

The rules of category A1 apply to those who wish to ride small motorcycles. These motorcycles have cylinder capacity of up to 35kW. They cannot be directly derived from vehicles that have more than twice their power.

Open category drone operations are divided into three subcategories: A1 to A3. You can fly current drones with the class label C0 or C1 in the A1 subcategory (fly over people) until January 2024.

A1

Category A1 is one of three drone categories controlled by EASA. It is available to aircrafts with a maximum takeoff mass (MTOM) which is 25 kilograms. It requires a flight plan as well as an account of flight along with an identification system for remotes and a geoawareness system. The drone must remain in the sight of the pilot. It is not permitted to fly over large groups of people or in areas used for commercial, industrial or recreational reasons. The drone should stay within 120 meters.

A1 applicants must have at least 16 years experience in two-wheeled vehicles. They must also complete the mandatory basic training and have passed the theory test and practical test. In addition, they must possess a valid medical certificate.

A1 license holders are allowed to drive mopeds that have the capacity of cylinders not more than 1250 cc, and a power-to-weight ratio that is not greater than 0.01 kW/kg. They can also drive motorcycles with an optimum cylinder capacity of 125 cc, as well as trikes, quad bikes and quad-bikes.

The category A1 driving license is designed to give easier access to the next vehicle category, which permits holders to drive vehicles with a maximum permissible mass of up to 35 kW. A2 permits you to fly drones with transitional capabilities that aren't yet CE-marked, but they have been modified to lessen the risk of collisions with other people. You'll only be able to fly these drones in A2 until end of 2022, after which they'll be required to comply with A3 regulations.

The A1 and A2 categories can help you develop into a confident and secure motorcyclist. The number of lessons needed is contingent on your capability and the progress you are making in learning, however, you must complete a certain amount of special rides. These include a minimum of five lessons on country roads, four on highways and three lessons in darkness or dawn.

A3

This category permits flights with drones having a maximum take-off mass of up to 25 kg. It is a lower-risk operation, but strict precautions should be taken to avoid incidents. A distance of 150 metres is required between drones and residential, commercial industrial, recreational and residential areas. This category also requires drones to have an identification system for remotes and geoawareness systems.

This tier is also divided into sub-categories, A1, A2 or even A3. The A1 subcategory allows drones sporting Class Identification Label C0 or C1 to fly over individuals who are not in the drone. It requires a minimum of 30 meters of separation from third parties while flying at flight height, or 5 metres in slow flight mode.

Drones with a Class identification label C2 may be operated in subcategory A2 provided that the drone meets the size requirements and the remote pilot is able to pass an additional theoretical knowledge exam. This exam is designed to allow the remote pilot to evaluate their knowledge of the operational and technical mitigations that address the extra dangers associated with flying larger drones (class A2, less than 4kg mass), close to people. The successful completion of this test results in the award of an 'attestation of competence to fly category A2'.

There are 'transitional arrangements' that permit older drones, that aren't certified, to be operated in the categories A1 and/or A2 for a period of two years following the implementation of the new EU regulations. Legacy drones must not be flown over people and must carry an A2 CofC.

To operate a drone in this category, you need to first complete the online test for identification of flyers and then take a theoretical exam. You also need to prove that you have some actual knowledge of your drone and then submit a written proof of competency. These requirements are similar to the driving licence system where a person who first obtains the licence for a lower powerful vehicle category may gain easier access to the higher category.

A4

The DOH is currently working on detailed guidelines to be used in category A4. These will be consistent with other operations and will also include details such as the number of dressing changes per day. These guidelines will be presented to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infections, (IATF-EID), and the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group. Before they are published, the guidelines will be reviewed and approved by both the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group and dokumenty Do prawa jazdy a1 the IATF EID.

Drones with the C0 or C1 can fly within 50 meters of people who are not involved in the incident. This is a low-risk class however, strict security measures are still required to prevent incidents. This examination aims to assess the knowledge of the additional dangers associated with flying drones close to people. The certificate of competence is issued after passing this test.
