Path of Exile item upgrading Upgrades

The performance of many Path of Exile items can be enhanced by upgrading the performance of them. They can cause additional damage, item upgrader Kit AD or even affixes.

In most cases, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade equipment due to their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item upgrades they are connected to. Armor Item Upgrader kit upgrades are found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternately, they can be rescued from items with upgrade components within them by using an expert or greater salvage kit.

The amount of damage that a piece of armor or weapon is able to absorb is dependent on the extent of its upgrades. The damage absorption of a piece armor will increase as it is upgraded to its maximum upgrade level. It is important to keep in mind that this will increase the weight of the armor, so it must be more heavy.

There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game, and each one has distinct effects. For instance, some upgrades will grant the armor a certain amount of additional health points, while others will make it lighter and stronger. The name of the upgrade will indicate the kind of upgrade that an item will be given, as illustrated below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which are identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges to use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are continuously updated or never expire based on the upgrade.

Iron Ore is the cheapest method to improve your armor. You can locate it by exploring and looting small loot chests. Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to enhance certain aspects of their weapon. For example, an upgrade may increase the damage dealt by a shotgun's shells or the accuracy of a rifle that snipes. Some weapons also have special upgrades that improve their innate characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the risk of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's speed to cause more damage) are two examples.

The majority of weapon upgrades require the use of a whetblade, or one of the three Power Dices and a different amount of Minerals and Erons. They can be obtained by completing side quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.

Upgrading a Weapon, Equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade price of a set number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the more bars are required to complete it. If you have multiple upgrade materials, the cost of upgrading will be less.

In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade your weapon and sets has changed. Prior to Chapter 2: Season 5, you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a certain amount of Bars. You could continue to do this until you reach a maximum upgrade level for the equipment or weapon, following which the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this but the process is based on RNG and low on agency. Instead, you're better off going to the stores and buying equipment with low upgrade levels, but good base scores and stat distributions. These items have a better chance of giving you the highest tier blessings and perks.

To improve their skills quicker, players usually be more inclined to upgrade their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons their squadmates utilize to increase their power. Shepard, for example should upgrade his M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more useful when used with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to boost the effectiveness of a skill or provide additional effects on weapons and armor. Jewelry crafting is a method of making them, where you combine the gemstone with specific reagents in a jewelry table. The higher the level of the gem, the greater the secondary effect. These reagents can be found around the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and, sometimes, by salvaging Legendary gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.

The quality of a gem can be improved at the Jeweler in stages that vary from Crude to Royal. The boosts to stats will differ depending on the tier the jewel is at when it's inserted into jewelry, weapons, or other gear.

All tiers of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary gems that require you to be at a certain level to be able to get these. Like other upgrade components jewels are able to be swapped with another jewel of the same kind without damaging the original one. However, you can only replace the jewels in an equipment piece only once.

It is common to use more gems to enhance the appearance of. The jewels can also enhance performance and make an outer layer that is more durable than steel so that repeated friction from pivots does not cause damage to them.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the appearance of your shields and weapons. These glyphs offer a small boost in power and can be traded, but they're not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs are upgradeable, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold and Scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits and aegis are not swappable, and can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are small pieces of equipment that bestow many small but useful benefits to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the areas of starting as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, or by performing road interactions. They may also be crafted by jewelers and later found or purchased on the Trading Post.

The first trinket players will be able to unlock is the cloak. It grants a small but valuable boost in speed of movement and the ability to escape. After that, they'll be able to get amulets, rings, and necklaces in the same way to how a player obtains armor and weapons. Every piece of equipment has a slot for an upgrade that can be either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be utilized on any piece of equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.

These trinkets can provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't in combat. This lets a hero be more efficient when they are not active. It can also make up for the absence of excellent slot in the talent tree or team which are usually filled by the hero's best stats.

As a rule trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace soon. Then, you should consider any items with desirable stats that aren't as significant as the iLevel of the item upgrades that is to be upgraded. This is particularly true if an Item Upgrader Kit has multiple stats that you'd like to upgrade as it's often better to upgrade a single important stat rather than two sub-optimal ones.

Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red one prior to the start of the game. Mid and top players on the other hand, will choose a pink or green ward, based on the matchup. These choices can impact the ability of a hero to control the map.

In addition to the items listed above, players can also discover a variety of other trinkets in the game in the form of trophies and awards. They can be obtained through completing certain milestones within the story. For instance, finishing the main quest of a chapter or beating the boss. They can be viewed by selecting the relevant achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
