This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other models, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best rated robot vacuum feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to keep certain areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The app was too simple and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot hoover vacuum that mops in our review, however it comes with some distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base has a few control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to turn off a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and Robot vacuum stops working until you remove it manually. While it was not common, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
