WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the item upgrade level by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item upgrader kit used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade items can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays an image of the Item Level Upgrade at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
