WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of The button will display the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or item Level Upgrade bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. After an item level upgrade has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.
