Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item can be enhanced by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle six items at once to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item upgrader mod level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to boost the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be achieved through many different methods such as using upgrade components as well as increasing an item's mark level or rarity. Many items can also be reforged in order to increase their stats.
