The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. That makes the i3+ an excellent option for those who want a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience, but don't mind taking the time to empty their robot's trash bin as it gets full.

Both robots excel at picking up surface debris on carpets and hard floors and they're very adept in maneuvering around furniture and Top Rated Robot Vacuum other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home, which help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we evaluated, the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles, so it may get stuck on things such as socks or power cords, and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces like hardwood to rug.

The Roomba I7+ is able to map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or through the app.

The i7+ is faster and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and lowers the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the best cheap robot vacuum on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. When connected we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in most homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system is able to trap allergens and then lets cleaner air into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and pick up large dust or crumbs. It comes with three suction modes that can be adjusted to the task. It can quickly change from floor vacuum to handheld vacuum and vice versa.

The model also comes with a dock that charges to 100% in around 3.5 hours, and gives users easy access to two attachments as well as the clip for a wand. This is a huge improvement over previous Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The V10's main drawback is its limited running time. The claims of its marketing that it can last up to 60 minutes of run time are a bit misleading, as CR's testing shows. This is an average not an extraordinary time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's still enough time to get rid of the majority of a typical-sized home, but not quite long enough to get every single spot (though the second time around usually does the trick). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than earlier Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on a robot. It's capable of sucking up a variety of types of debris and sizes during our tests, and it often goes over the same areas several times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach corners and edges of walls.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models such as our top rated Robot vacuum picks, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. Samsung is a well-known brand in home electronics. It's not a surprise, then, that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has the most advanced onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app offers a variety of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior adjustments, docking frequency settings, and more. It's easy to understand and user-friendly, as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our testing our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86% of it. It was not as successful in avoiding taller items like cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's priced higher than other models that we tested, and this could be a deal breaker for some buyers.

The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that is accessible through the app, and you can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station.
