Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, also referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment provides an increase in the linearity of a given stat.

Players can recycle six items at one time to gauge each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the effectiveness of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or by increasing the rarity or mark level. In addition, many items can be reforged to increase their stats.

Upgradeable items are available throughout the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. Upgrade components are the main method to upgrade equipment. The number of upgrade components needed for a particular item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level and rarity of the item. However you can lower the cost by purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them with other players.

Nearly all weapons can be upgraded using a prefix upgrade like an insignia or a rune, and Item Upgrades many are upgraded by a suffix upgrade. These upgrades add an adjective to the name of the item like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey visual information. They move to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics body language, making them even more effective at conveying the message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs can also increase the likelihood of remembering a message by evoking an emotional connection in the brain.

Each glyph increases the value of a stat by certain amount. This is displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is not the actual amount at which the glyph will increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you're enchanting it to.

The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it hasn't been applied to the gear yet, you can move the item to a different piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from an item you must save it using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item on which the glyph is placed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be retrieved with the glyph shards.

The addition of a glyph to an item can cause it to be unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also apply the glyph on your equipment to provide a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and then be dealt out slowly to the wearer instead of all at one time. This is useful for players who take many hits from their enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to alter the affixes that are placed on weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from various sources, including mysterious boxes or rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll token gives players a new random affix, which is typically better than the original one. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve weapon stats for more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of item upgrades, but they can still be upgraded. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to recycle. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item upgrader. The amount is based on the item's rarity and also its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable to recycle than items with lower levels.

Players can also make use of Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits for upgraded units. Rerolls will roll a % chance of a weapon's traits. If it rolls higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

A reroll is a good option to upgrade an item, but users should be aware that it could reduce the overall ilvl the weapon based on the number of rerolls used to raise the weapon to its ultimate ilvl. Players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's better to allow people to pay for it with cash or food items which would allow them to make changes to their builds without spending too much time. However paying for rerolls is not something the developers are planning to implement at this point in the game's development. Instead, they plan to include a race change potion in the future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item. The first method of leveling up an upgrade to an item upgrades is by increasing the upgrade amount. This increases the value of an upgrade for any stat. The alternative is to increase the effect of the upgrade, which increases damage or healing for the stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. Once this is done, the new item will retain its iLevel but it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.
