World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item upgrade to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. In certain instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs an upgrade items to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is usually a good thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.

It is possible to upgrade armor items to improve their effectiveness. This can boost the defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will get when upgraded in addition to their relative values. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the item menu. This will reroll an item upgrader mod and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor could make a a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the more health you will get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll require anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in frigid conditions with a large group of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll need to work on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets so that you can get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, when consumed give the player the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a craft table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item upgrade's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and Item upgrading select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to select the potions that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

When a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade until you take it out again or break the bottle in which it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.

Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used. For instance the splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item). The table for potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The potion table is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It may be a reference to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant such as a trinket. In some cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing statistics.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.

Upgrading a trinket is an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. A player can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets have become no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other items of gear they won't replace in the near future (for example rings or cloaks). When choosing which items to upgrade players should also consider the preferred statistics of their class. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it is salvaged using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than purchasing an entirely new trinket.
