WoW Upgrades - The item upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for Item level Upgrade items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor Item level upgrade with an button, which will show an item's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests used.
