1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

Its design is superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots can't do this. It did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, although not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and self cleaning vacuum cleaner-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an option for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to tell whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or Room Cleaning Robot adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people, but it's one that can help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the best robot vacuum for large house in the industry however it's quite expensive.

It's a small base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's one of the few robot vacuum cleaner cheap vacuums I've tested that does a really good job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price tag.

However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices on the market with a wide range of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be located close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The primary characteristic that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to create an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is less expensive and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
