Bedside Cot Reviews (Yogicentral.Science)

A bedside crib, sometimes referred to as a bassinet for babies, is placed near your bed so that you can safely look after your child during feedings at night and diaper-changing without needing to leave the bed. They are also ideal for building independence as your child gets more comfortable in their own sleep space.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to sleep together with their baby while making sure that they're asleep safely. The smooth glide motion helps to ease your baby back into sleep and its innovative features let you monitor them without leaving your own bed.

The sliding side panel of the crib can be raised and lowered with just a press of a button. This makes it simple to reach inside and soothe a crying baby in the night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit the mattress of almost any size bed. It also includes adjustable folding feet to ensure it's placed at just the right height.

The cot is cushioned, has mesh sides that allow for more the airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam for added protection. It's also wipeable so you can keep it clean, and it is fitted with a sheet that is suitable for use with the cot.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for beds, is compatible with most beds including divans. This is because of the clips and straps which connect it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it is not attached to your bed, and it's packed with amazing features that are specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that although this crib is perfect for infants, it will not last long after your little one turns six months old, so you will need to invest in a bigger cot. However, overall Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she was particularly impressed by its elegant design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for such a cot. She liked how it looked in her bedroom and believed its gray color would be appropriate for the majority of modern homes. She did mention that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby younger because it can create an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure the best sleep possible. It has a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lowered to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or getting out of the bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.

We love the fact that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. It's available in charcoal and oak and has a variety of melange fabrics that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs firmly snapping into the bed and Bedside Cot Reviews the zips secured to ensure baby bedside sleeper safety. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer service number should you have any problems.

The CoZee crib comes with all the features you'd expect from a crib to your bed, including the ability to connect it to your bed with a stay-in-place connection system. It also has six height settings. Additionally it has an incline feature that can be used to help babies with congestion or reflux. It's also machine-washable, which is a must with all the dribble, vomit and snot that comes with having a new baby!

The CoZee is a fantastic option to keep your child close during the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically sleep them, it will rock them and send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive options. It does have numerous great features. It's designed as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable for babies up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with the new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure fit under any bed.

Our testers appreciated the ease of access provided by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and downwards with just a single push of a button. This was especially helpful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them.

The side panel can be lowered by itself, too however it isn't advised as it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it can only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This feature is fantastic for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers thanks to the legs that can be telescopic. It has a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and the ability to rock to soothe them to sleep after a feeding. It's also incredibly large bedside cot and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's fairly portable and can be moved from room room easily. It's small enough to fit into a travel cot bedside crib bag when not in use which is an advantage when you have to transport it. The only drawback our testers found was that the side panel didn't move like some of the other models, making it a little harder to see your baby from your own bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside travel cot crib is a great choice for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that is securely attached to your bed and can be converted into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and enhancing your bond with your newborn.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other models. Its dual-view mesh sides and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to get started. It took us about an hour to put together and was fairly straightforward. The only drawback to the instructions was that some images were not captioned. This made it difficult for us to follow. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of high quality.

In the co-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section since it allows them to easily reach out to their infant for feeding and comfort without having to climb out of their bed. It's also great for mothers who want to avoid the difficulty of getting in and out of a traditional cot or placing their child down to sleep.

The motion of gliding was found to be very helpful in lulling babies into sleep after feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down side can also be easily accessed to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night, which was a real selling point for our exhausted test moms. The Joie Roomie Glide is a modern and stylish crib that isn't rocking, nor has extra features like an audio system.
