WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item upgrades has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or Item Level Upgrade armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will show an image of the item when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.
