Robot vacuums and mops are getting more efficient. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and can handle various floors. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules and select cleaning options.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was able to drive close to walls and even over raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or carpets.

Mopping capabilities are excellent, with a pair spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor instead of dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also replenished at the top of the station when they are required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot auto vacuum and mop and mop was released earlier this year. But their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rugs, but it couldn't clean up kitty litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that helps it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums are unable to.
