WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrade used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They are purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display the item Level upgrade's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Item upgraders can be found in many places, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

Another significant modification is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them properly.
