Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots that vacuum and mop, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot vacuum cleaner mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's easy to install and performs well however, this is something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it has some distinct features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock that doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task or recall the robot cleaner with mop or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy units.
