It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
