The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it has some distinctive features that make it worth a look. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, robot vacuum that mops sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
