The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

The design is also better than the competition. It has an elegant, top piece that appears like an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots aren't able to do. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is a good option for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house at the same time. These bots also have many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.

Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not include some of the expensive features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the self-cleaning robot vacuums easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be done easily. It also has a large LCD display which is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best rated robot vacuum in the industry however, it's costly.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper and has many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac g30

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuum deals black friday vacuums with the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping capabilities at an affordable robot vacuum price. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet and have enough space to move.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The most important feature that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as often and Vacuum Deals it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
