WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will display an image of the item at its next upgrade items level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the chance to obtain the latest recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade item system. After the player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is true even if those items come from an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrade (simply click the following post) level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, depending on the type or equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor Item Level Upgrade activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The use of these currencies isn't too complicated however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests only have one usage, so it's important to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you have available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
