The Scout RX3 impressed us in our test of how well it was able to clean baking powder from baseboards and corners. Its suction was less powerful than other robots but it was silent and moved swiftly. It didn't mop and its removable cleaning pad was difficult to attach. It also couldn't take on dirt that had dried up.

Its app is a little basic with no advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It does support Alexa however its voice controls aren't very clear or responsive. Also, it's a bit flaky when it comes to navigating its way back to the charging station following an outing -- other robots can trace a previous path or sensibly follow a wall around until they get to their destination, but the RX3 just bumbles about until it gives up and sends a message of failure to your phone.

We also experienced issues with the intelligent features of the device, namely its mapping feature as well as digital stay-out zones. While it did a good job of avoiding our shoes and furniture legs but it could easily be caught by cables and socks, and couldn't handle the tassels of rug.
