The Roomba I7+ can make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot using voice or through the app.

The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and cuts down on recurring costs.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or Top Rated Robot vacuum pause its cleaning routines and move around the room and sweep the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. The tests conducted by CR show that its claims to run up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is a typical, not exceptional, battery-powered cordless vacuum's run time. It's enough time to vacuum the typical home, but not enough to reach every spot. (A second pass is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more maneuverable than earlier Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeable superior on carpets with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in a robot. It's capable of sucking up most debris types and sizes during our tests, and it often goes over the same areas multiple times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it to reach into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice touch.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it lacks the mapping capability of more advanced models like our top choices such as the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 because it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs, is more sophisticated in its automation capabilities and can better move itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also has physical boundaries strips and can be controlled with the voice assistant on your smartphone. It also feels more sturdy and has a stronger motor, and is able to perform better on both bare floors and carpets with a low pile, as well as offering a wider range of features for automation.
