Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item can be improved by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment results in a linear increase in any stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to boost the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be achieved in a variety of ways, including by using upgrade components or increasing the rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their stats.

Upgradeable items can be found all over the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. The primary method to upgrade gear is through the use of upgrade components, which are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer a general bonus.

The amount of upgrade components required for a given item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the level of the upgrade and its rarity, but it can be reduced by a variety of methods, including purchasing upgrades from a retailer or trading them with other players.

Almost all weapons can be upgraded by the use of a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia, or a rune, and many can be upgraded with an upgrade suffix. These upgrades can be used to add an adjective to the item's name for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to communicate visual information. They move to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language, making them more effective in transmitting the message of a language barrier. Glyphs can also enhance the retention of messages by creating an emotional connection in the brain.

Each glyph comes with a range of values that it can enhance a stat, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This is the maximum value that a glyph can improve a stat by, not the amount that it actually increases it by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the item you are creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components that are added to items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them, Upgrade item with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the Best item upgrade to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you are looking to remove the glyph from an item, you will need to salvage it using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed within which it is placed however, you can salvage the upgraded item by using the glyph and its fragments, therefore, it shouldn't be considered as a loss.

Reroll tokens can also be a good way to reroll weapon stats that can be upgraded for better damage or additional perks.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for upgrade options, but they are still able to be upgraded. If you click the "upgrade button" you can recycle these rerolled items. This will change the layout of the item's window, and allow up to six items be selected to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its level, therefore items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

Leveling

There are many ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the value of an upgrade for the stat. The second is to increase the effect of upgrading which increases the healing or damage of a given stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. Once this is done the new item will maintain its iLevel however it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded item upgrader mod type.

When you upgrade items it is essential to keep in mind that upgrades are random. In most cases the chance of a better roll will result from glyphs, however there are also possibilities for greater or special rolls. The item type will also determine the iLevel.
